MISSOURI VALLEY — The IKM-Manning boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Western Iowa Conference Championships Tuesday night in Missouri Valley, with the girls team finishing third overall while the boys placed fifth.

The IKM-Manning girls turned in a strong all-around performance, finishing third in the final team standings with 88 points.

OMAHA- The Harlan Community boys soccer team played the second game of a double header with the girls soccer team on Thursday night in Omaha, where they took on conference foe Glenwood Rams in the annual game at Creighton University’s Morrison Stadium. 
The Cyclones won 1-0, and Cyclone head coach Levi Culp commented on his teams performance and on beating Glenwood for the first time since 2019.

AUDUBON — It was a dominant night for IKM-Manning track and field as both the boys and girls teams captured team titles at the Bob Clark Relays in Audubon.

The Wolves put together a balanced performance across sprints, distance, field events, and relays to secure the team title, with several top-three finishes pacing the effort.

DA GROVE — The Harlan Community girls track and field team turned in a productive outing Friday at the OABCIG meet, using strong relay performances and continued improvement across events to finish fourth as a team with 87 points.
Despite a limited roster of just 12 athletes competing, the Cyclones made the most of their opportunities and showed measurable progress as the postseason approaches.

GLENWOOD — It was a balanced effort across distance events, relays, and hurdles powered the Harlan Community High School girls track and field team to a strong showing, highlighted by multiple top-three finishes and a dominant win in the distance races.
Leading the way was standout distance runner Julia Heslink, who captured the 800-meter title in 2:20.26, earning 10 team points and setting the tone for the Cy-clones. 

DENISON — The IKM-Manning boys track and field team turned in a strong performance at the Ace Nelson Relays, finishing fourth overall on the night. 
The Wolves were highlighted by standout efforts from Max Butler and several strong relay performances.
Butler continued his impressive season by breaking his own school records in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. 

HARLAN — The HCHS girls track and field team continued its stellar start to the season, capturing another first-place finish at its lone home meet of the year, the Koos Relays/Cyclone Co-Ed Meet Monday night at Merrill Field.
Originally scheduled for Thursday, April 9, the Koos Relays were postponed due to weather and moved to Monday. 

ELK HORN — The Museum of Danish America, with assistance from a crew of local volunteers, began helping a troll “immigrate” to Elk Horn.
The troll sculpture, crafted by Danish recycle artist Thomas Dambo and his team, embodies creativity, sustainability, and storytelling, capturing the spirit of discovery and imagination that defines both Danish and Danish-American culture. 

DES MOINES — A coalition of Iowa farmers is launching a new organization, “Iowa Farmers United by Commonsense,” as frustration grows over rising costs, trade disruptions and what they describe as inaction from federal lawmakers.
